My husband and I have enjoyed both dinner and brunch at Driftwood. Dinner was a bit pricey, but in the range of most well fitted out restaurants in the Hobart area. The restaurant is situated next to the Lauderdale canal, is very tastefully designed with an open kitchen which adds atmosphere to a dining experience. Certainly worth a visit.
Too cold to be out of doors on a wintery Hobart Sunday. So fabulous to sit in Driftwood....sun sparkling on the water, watching local wildlife drifting by whilst tucking into perfectly poached eggs with all the trimmings - company of visiting friends made it that much more special - THX again
We just walked in, without any knowledge and found the place to be brilliant. The food was tasty, with tender meats and flavoursome sauces, the side of brussel sprouts perfect for a cold evening. The service was friendly and efficient a lucky on our holidays
We booked the whole restaurant for a special lunch for 50 people, with a set menu. Stephen and Ruth attended to every request and we were delighted with the result. Each course included favourite foods of the guest of honour. Vegetarians were catered for. Service could not be faulted and tables were arranged so that everyone could see the speakers and move easily between them. Side tables were set up for photo albums and presents. A wonderful, memorable occasion. Where did 4 hours go? Many thanks!
