Grütli - Lausanne

We came to this restaurant because of his call for good fondue. the server strongly encouraged us to order the fondue for two people who have an salat, a portion dried meat, a fondue tank with brot and kartoffels and two glasses with...winning for 45 chf per. what we received was disappointing for the price. the salat was perhaps half a cup of arugula/rocket with no other sweet (last salad we had in a land of delicious salads). The four to five thin slices of dried meat were tasteless. the wine, although good, was two small half glasses. the fondue itself was good with lots of broth and kartoffels, but when the bill came for 90 chf, the worth was for what we received was minimal compared to other meal times that we had in Switzerland last week. we were very disappointed.

Had dinner here with a friend. She had veal in cream and mushroom sauce and I had beef stroganoff. Both dishes were tasty, but nothing to write home about.

Il locale dovrebbe essere "tradizionale" ma l'impostazione è davvero troppo turistica. La struttura è vecchiotta, i tavoli strettissimi e le sedie scomodissime. Menù non molto vario. I prezzi abbastanza alti non sono per niente giustificati dalla qualità del cibo (in un ristorante ci si aspetta di mangiare cose buone...cucinate a regola d'arte...qui non è proprio così). Anche il servizio lascia a desiderare. Non vale proprio la pena andarci.

Les salades sont quelconques pour un prix très élevé, même pour Lausanne (25-30Frs). Les serveurs sont agréables mais cela ne fait pas tout. Passez votre chemin.

Hidden amongst the cobbled backstreets not far from the old town in Lausanne is this small restaurant delivering delicious food. On a hot Friday night the decking out front was busy so we ate at a table inside near a big open widow. Very friendly staff serving good food at reasonable prices.
