Portneuf Grille Lounge At The Riverside Inn

We were waiting to even be recognized by someone to sit down. After we waited for about 10 minutes, we just sat down. It took 10 minutes until someone came by and took us a water. The ordered Calamari, which was cooked for a long time and was very fat. The oil mixed with vinegar for our bread tasted old for diving. The lady waiting for everyone was just too busy, there was not enough help clear. We ordered Salmon and it was good for her favor. The atmosphere is loud and not good for an intimate meal. For the prices on this menu I think that this food and service was very subpar. We're not going back.

Absolutely loved our drinks and appetizers here before our loneliness! Really great service, we will be back!

Bad service, whole dinner and no water, 20 minutes before sitting, if there are only 4 tables throughout the restaurant. Subpar taste to value ratio, not raised as claimed, portions were of elevated style, but taste is Bland Many things out and not available, even if restaurant only opened and not only due to low season (I.e bread and vegetables) Overall no great restaurant and no appointment of 4-star rating, should warn future guests.

The food was uneven (big wet well prepared meat selection, good caesar salad, dry bagette, average rascoto, bitter, boiled squash). Cold room, simple ambience, lovely Musak. Very expensive for quality.

Set in the basement of a historical building. The location is cozy and well laid out. Our waiter was nice but for a higher end restaurant could use some polishing. Such as telling us the soup and the burger of the day when sitting us. As is we had to ask the hamburger flavors. The calamari was very dry and over Cooked, we are guessing we got the bottom of the bag as a table near us was told later that the calamari was not available. I wish the chief would have just told us that the calamari was gone and offered a different appetizer. My salmon was cooked perfect and I enjoyed the sides although the squash could use more seasoning. My partners pork chops were also cooked perfectly. The marinara that was served with the calamari and on the pork chop was the highlight of the meal very fresh and tasty. As a whole a nice meal , but missed enough marks to not warrant a better rating
