Restaurant Au Vieux Duluth - Laval

The chicken broth plate was perfectly cooked and hearty. It came with a generous serving of salad and baked Greek potatoes. I loved the charcoal flavor of the brochette and the pepper sauce that came with the chicken. The service was excellent and the price for two was reasonable. Bravo to everyone involved!

The next group of people with reservations allowed our table to wait for them, making us feel rushed as they stood angrily watching us finish our meal. This caused unnecessary stress as they claimed we had exceeded the allotted 2-hour time slot. Unless you enjoy eating on a strict schedule, it is not recommended, especially for larger groups or special occasions.

When it comes to world-class hotels, top-notch travel, Armani suits, LV bags, and the like, you get what you pay for. However, when it comes to filling our bellies, we expect much more. If you're looking for good, fresh, handmade food, then Vieux Duluth in Montreal is the place to go. I especially love the location on Marcel Laurin Blvd. The food is always fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions. Their soups are amazingly delicious (even better than the Ritz), and the staff, led by Tony, is friendly and goes out of their way to please you. Forget about the Ritz, Vieux Duluth is where it's at.

So good for the price and the portions very good prices, but the food is honestly average. Last month I came 2 times to this franchise.(a different location in Terrebonne The rice, the chicken and the salad, the only thing I can say really tasted...fresh were the potatoes. It feels like a fast food Greek chain restaurant offering customers their own wine. (This does not make it for me when food is not fine kitchen!! I know his popularity for many, but not for me! I loved this franchise when I was in my college years, but now with a more refined taste for great fine food, it honestly doesn't make it for me! I must say to my staff that they stop proposing this restaurant for lunch as I am sincerely not impressed!!! The 2 waiters were really very nice, but at least I have to say the positive! It is always nice to be served well!

We were a group of 16. Very little place to sit 4 people on a 2 place table Chicken is frozen, salad was swimming in a pool of vinaigrette, potatoes were dry.
