Blue Sushi - Lavallette

Food was fine. Service was clown shoes baby time frolics. Half our party got their food an hour after the other half finished eating. There is not enough staff. The servers (and probably the chefs) were set up to fail. Ownership need to really evaluate their operations. Until they do, only go if you don?t value your time.

I really wanted to like this place but the overpriced menu and slow service didn't sit well with my friends at all. The gyoza that came out were mini ones that you can tell they microwaved. Fried rice lacked flavor. Sushi was mid for sure. We waited over 45 minutes for our entrees and there were even that many diners there. Some folks got served before us after they were seated shortly after us. I'd recommend saving your sushi tastebuds till you leave the island.

We heard so much about this restaurant and finally ordered for pickup last night. The sushi was very good, but the pieces were quite small. I would have ordered more had I known. Also, they did not give us the correct rolls. My husband placed the order and his roll should have been different than mine. They gave us two orders of my roll which he did not like. So, it was disappointing for the price and reputation.

My party of three sat for 1 hour and 15 minutes waiting for our food to come. Both tables next to us sat down about 20 minutes after we did and got their food first. Don't go here. Drive the 10 minutes off the island to get some quality service and food that arrives in a timely manner.

Amazing sushi. Myself and 2 friends shared a crazy crunch salmon roll, tuna delight,and sweet heart roll. Absolutely delicious. For appetizer seaweed salad, avocado salad, and kani salad. We can't wait to return.
