Írjon visszajelzéstI've eaten here a number of times and never been disappointed although my husband was...he prefers more americanized Chinese. Some Korean students recommended it. They have a standard menu with familiar items and then a menu with more exotic fare...When I finally got in there with a group of 6 we just specified the main ingredient (tofu, shrimp, chicken, etc. and the degree of heat and the chef prepared 5 delicious items...one of them garlicy shrimp...sweet and sour fish...(not red! all very Yummy! No fortune cookies either. No buffet either.
These dudes literally opened the restaurant for us after they'd closed so that we could order takeout lol. The owner took the time to explain each dish to us. Delicious ginger chicken. Best Chinese food I've ever had in Lawrence. I'm bringing my mom here next time she's in town
David, the owner and chef, makes special dishes from his home province, Xi'an, and the neighboring one, Xinjiang. He is fastidious about fresh, authentic ingredients and he really knows his way around lamb, which is an art in itself. This is a special restaurant and well worth going out of your way for. I've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. You won't be, either.
I have been here 4 times and each time...customer service and the food has been great! The first time we dined in, the bill took quite a while to make it to our table but I wasn't making a big deal since everything else was good. The place is nice and very spacious. Seems to be quite empty but I assume it's because it is a new restaurant.
Food 9/10 (awesome Price 8/10 (meh Location 7/10 (close for me, but hard to see Ambiance 5/10 (don't bring your date here I must say, I was hesitant to come here. But I was unfortunately mistaken. THINGS TO NOTE 1 Do not order off the Americanized menu, go for the traditional Chinese menu. If you do not know what to order, tell them why type of meat and what you are looking for. Crab rangoon and pad thai are not traditional Chinese food. 2 This place specializes in Szechuan food. Meaning hot, spicy, flavorful goodness. Therefore, I would highly recommend the BEEF IN HOT CHILI SAUCE. If you haven't had this style of food, it will change your life. 3 HOT POT! Bring a couple of friends, expect to pay $24 a person, and ask for hotpot and start ordering things. It is a hot chili broth that you dip food in to cook. Makes for a good friends/family dinner. 4 The location and decor are not desirable... I do not come here for that, I come here for food. 5 No buffet. And in my opinion, this is a good thing. Why would you want Chinese food to sit in a tray? It is best served hot and freshly made. So what should you do? Give this place a try, DO NOT ASK FOR A BUFFET make sure to order off the Chinese menu, make sure to try something spicy, ask for help on what to order : Would I be back? Yup, I come back regularly
