Hops House 99 - Lawrenceburg

The service and ambiance were excellent—such a great sports vibe! However, the food was disappointing. I ordered the hot garlic boneless wings and ended up giving them away because they were way too saucy and not very enjoyable.

This restaurant was the most unwelcoming place I've ever been to. When we arrived, an unfriendly older woman at the front made us feel like we were interrupting her conversation with two other staff members. She directed us to the girl at the desk behind her. The girl, named Angel, was also unwelcoming; she took our name and number and informed us there would be a 15-minute wait. After waiting for 15 minutes on the couch in the waiting area, we received a text saying our reservation had been canceled. Confused, I went back to ask Angel about it, but she claimed she had called us 25 minutes prior—what? Then, she grabbed some menus and walked away, returning a few minutes later while completely ignoring us. Another younger staff member tried to assist us, but we were so fed up with the lack of hospitality that we decided to leave. It seems they can keep their mediocre food in a smoky, noisy environment. Hollywood has really gone downhill lately, and the filthy bathrooms were the last straw.

This is an old review that I had written a draft of and am now catching up on... I had the Southwestern Chef's Salad $15 but subbed chipotle fireball ranch dressing with avocado ranch because I can't take the heat. :P The Lagunitas Super Cluster IPA was so refreshing and yummy and tasted of a hint of grapefruit for me. This is a great place to hang out and catch up with friends while in town!

The food was satisfactory, typical of bar fare. The bartenders were quite efficient at serving drinks, even during busy times.

Well if your in a hurry, don't come here. Good grief, my legs went asleep waiting for food! Ordered a full rack of ribs and I'm just starting this so I can save some time. You almost get the impression the food was cooked in a different building and will be delivered here. The restaurant area and the bathrooms were clean. I just seen an order being prepared thinking it was ours only to have all my hopes and dreams destroyed when it went somewhere else. Everyone in my group really liked their food. I had a full rack of ribs and they were cooked and seasoned well. Best cheesy grits I've had in a while. All 10 of the green beans I had were good. I'd come back, but only when I had plenty of time to wait. I'd have given it more stars if service would improve. Update: there's a chance our waitress has been kidnapped she is missing!
