Kingston 30 Jamaican - Lawrenceville

It seems that the positive reviews come from those who either haven't experienced authentic Jamaican cuisine or haven't had homemade Jamaican dishes. The curry chicken was inedible; it was extremely dry when it should have been tender if prepared correctly. The rice and peas were also disappointing. The only decent items in my order were the beef patty and the plantain. Overall, the food is overpriced considering the quality. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The customer service at this restaurant was fantastic; the staff were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the food was disappointingly bland with no seasoning at all. I honestly don't think there was even any salt or pepper on the cabbage, rice, peas, or meat. I will say that the oxtails were some of the meatiest I've ever had, but the lack of flavor overshadowed that. Additionally, at a price of $27, I personally believe it was not worth it at all.

I had noticed this restaurant several times while passing by, so I decided to finally stop in and give it a try. Overall, it was just okay. I've definitely had better Jamaican food in the past. Since I visited Jamaica last September and experienced the authentic cuisine, I find it hard to compare this American version favorably.

I normally do not go out of my way to leave a review but I had to. Although the customer service was great, the food was tasteless, old, and dry. My rice had hard chucks in it and the bread and beef patty was dry and old. My cabbage had no flavor and the jerk chicken looked like meatloaf. I definitely will not be coming back.

Delicious?. Food was fresh and tasty ? I had the curry chicken and hubby had the brown stew chicken ?. Priced very nice and a nice family atmosphere?
