Írjon visszajelzéstThe Auberge de Bruyéres (The Heather Inn) and we were so glad she was in, Is an old traditional Auberge run by a husband and wife team, he cooks she serves. My family took us here and some of them did not realise it had been there for at least 35 years. Situated between the big roundabout of Les Bruyéres which is covered with heather and the Jardin des Plantes on La Rue de Canadiens, with street parking, we parked on the shingle pavement between the trees right outside where it looks like they might serve people under the covered terrace when it is warmer. This quarter is known locally as Les Bruyéres though not listed as so on maps, and the Auberge is not to be confused with other restaurants with Bruyéres in their titles in this same area. Apart from another couple our party were the sole diners on a Saturday lunch time. They had 3 course menu from about £17 but we had a la carte as we didn't want starters or cheese. They also do a childrens' menu. My family usually converse in French so I tend to switch of which helped me soak up my surroundings of lilac and mauve, traditional lace curtains, Dickenzian type wooden doors and windows with triangular small glass panes, which overlook the pretty courtyard garden at the back, a naturally lit dining room seating about 30 very comfortably though they could seat about 20 more maybe, with draught horse harnesses, copper pans and local paintings for atmosphere. We had tournados of beef pan fried in a sauce of green peppercourns which were soft to popping, lyonnaise potatoes, bunches of beans wrapped in very smoky bacon and what they called a herby omelette, a tiny disc of pureed green vegetables cooked in the pan. My partner had kidneys in mustard the best she had ever tasted she said, my beef melted in the mouth. Our puddings were black current sorbet, café liegois and I chose a palet which was a very soft toffee ice cream in a chocolate shell, like a choc ice, with liquid caramel oozing out. The lady served our wine throughout the meal and her husband brought our coffees to us and he and his wife shook hands and wanted to talk to us as we were English. We were ushered in to a small bar area to pay and they gave us complimentary pens with the inn's name on as we left.
Very good reception, thanks for the pre-quality match
I really recommend this brewery, the place is hot, the family. There is also a tobacco dealer and a bar in the same establishment. the card is varied but the desserts are not displayed. there is a dish of the day and the prices are correct. and the director of the establishment is very kind.
Very good the only very long dish even if we warn that we are very pressed
