Also there’s a small sidewalk terrace. Everything we tasted, especially the home made pasta, was excellent. Service, while very friendly, was slow — additional wait staff would be a big help. This casual bistro is highly recommended.
This restaurant has changed hands recently. We preferred Seb's version. The prices are still reasonable but the salads are smaller and service much less professional. Tables near ours had been poorly cleared with crumbs and spills still evident. Less choice on the daily menu. Other diners liked the steak option but we chose lighter fare. My pasta with seafood was okay but not special.
I only wanted to have an afterwork drink but turned out to order a meal, as all the meals served looked delicious. The waiter was extremly friendly and attentive. My burger was very good. Can clearly recommend it! Good food in relaxed environment.
Now thankfully open evenings as well as at lunch, Le Comptoir de Seb is our go to place in Le Tholonet. None of the other restaurants in town can beat it for value for money. At lunchtime the big salad plates are always good, steaks are high quality meat, served with sides of baked potato and vegetables. Friendly and efficient service by Seb and his staff. Excellent desserts and coffee. Each day there are one or two specials of the day. Reserve at lunchtime as it is popular, less well known for now at night.
Very good choice of daily dishes, kitchen based on fresh products
