It started to get pricey since I got a cappuccino and one of five or six sandwiches that are good, and/or soup, and went there every day. No I just get the help he knew cheddar bagel with cream cheese three or four days of the week and it’s dirt cheap and I am just as satisfied. The people are friendly there. Sometimes it gets busy. The cafeteria is a good alternative.
It is a friendly place to get a sandwich and a coffee. It is crowded and hectic around lunch, so I would suggest you order online and pay so you can grab and go to avoid the cripple around these times. I see the complaints about professionalism, etc. It is a fast restaurant, not a fine culinary experience. Staff cheer five or six commands in their head while watching coffee pots and napkin bins and listening to our specific wishes about tomatoes or dijon mustard and trying to manage a lot of people in a line; this on top of their own personal tensions because they are people. Try to smile and treat your problem in a detachable way. They will really try their best, but sometimes, by no one's fault, things go wrong and can't be fixed. It happens in any other room in DHMC, but here it's just a sandwich. Stop it, grab it and say hello. They are all great people and really want to leave any interaction on a positive note.
This Au Bon Pain is likely the only place within a 75-mile radius where you can find it, and it’s conveniently located in the food court at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. If you find yourself at the hospital and need a quick bite, this isn't a bar option. Having dined at other busier locations of the chain, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The food was just as good as I expected, and the service was professional and courteous. They also offered a solid choice for vegan options, including sandwiches and soup.
Absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly fresh and of excellent quality. The bread is as fresh as it gets and surprisingly tasty for white bread! I always order the Turkey Club because the cheddar is perfectly sharp, paired with crispy bacon and crunchy lettuce, all topped off with juicy, fresh turkey. It's truly incredible, haha! I also highly recommend the Strawberry Lemonade—it's a must-try! The service is fast, even during busy times, and I believe you can place a preorder as well.
I visited the Coffee and Bagel shop every morning, and I have to say, my experience with one of the employees, Sidney, has been disappointing. While I understand they can be busy, her manner towards customers is quite unfriendly. I even expressed my concerns to her supervisor about how I felt I was being treated. It seems the supervisor must have spoken to Sidney, as the next time I was there, Sidney was exceptionally rude to me. I will continue to visit the shop, but only on days when Sidney is not working.
