Blackhouse The Grill On The Square

Booked the Private room at the Blackhouse Restaurant in Leeds for a celebratory meal for 20 colleagues. The room was fantastic with he lights and retractable roof. The food was excellent and all brought out together. great mixture of drinks, and our Server Emily was always on hand and excellent with the many many orders. Would book again.

Loved the food. Steaks were really done well and had peppercorn sauce. Service was fantastic. Definitely recommend it. Service brilliant

A few garlic breads to start, 3 burgers, 1 chicken, 1 steak, and 1 drink each. Nice enough food but pricey for what was offered at £180. However, I wasn’t happy with the £20 ‘service charge’. The waitress was very nice and good, but we were there for 1 hour. I will not frequent businesses in future who are putting on service charges. People need to push back, it is getting worse. Vote with your feet.

My wife and I visited The Blackhouse on a Saturday evening at 19:15 in March together with another couple. It was quite busy and lively but not so noisy that you couldn 't hold a decent conversation. Service was timely, friendly and attentive. The food came in decent portion sizes and was tasty, well presented and prepared. Later a young entertainer played keyboard and sang a range of popular covers. He was pretty good and we enjoyed his performance. Overall a very pleasant evening and we would be happy to recommend The Blackhouse.
