Had a delicious meal here last night December 13! Meat looked nice and lots of choice, desserts were also very tasty, especially the homemade chocolate mousse. We hadden 's avonds een afspraak met mijn zwager in Amerongen. We dachten dat we er een mooie middag en avond van konden maken en onderweg lekker konden uit eten. We hebben gegoogeld wat we konden gaan eten. Chinees kunnen we allemaal wel, maar barbecue leek ons een schitterend idee. We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen, ondanks dat we de reservering niet goed hadden gelezen. Er werd snel een tafel vrijgemaakt en de barbecue werd opgestart. Ik ben meestal best terughoudend als het gaat om eten, maar het eten smaakt toch altijd lekkerder in het midden van het land. We hebben een onverwacht geweldige avond gehad met heerlijke voorgerechten, barbecue en nagerechten. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar, maar dan willen we ook met de kleinkinderen komen. Het is een schitterend idee om die barbecue en tafel zo voor je neus te hebben. Buiten hebben ze het ook prachtig voor elkaar en het personeel is zeer aardig en begripvol.

We have been coming to this restaurant for 5 years. At least once every year and it is noticeable that the atmosphere becomes less and less. We were the only table this evening, which didn't make the atmosphere pleasant. The meat was tasty, but discolored on all sides and I had the feeling that it had been there for a while. The question also occurred to me: what do you do with the meat that remains? Throwing it away is a shame, but I can't even think about coming across the same thing tomorrow. After a bit of encouragement, the waiter came more into his role and regularly came by to ask if everything was to your liking. This was great. The desserts were still the same after all the years (2 types of Sundea ice creams), which I think is a shame. There were also 2 homemade desserts, of which the chocolate dessert looked very much like custard and the other dessert seemed to have been thrown in from afar. A dollop of yogurt on a few crumbs. The staff is friendly.

Very friendly and involved reception. My boyfriend and I were alone with 1 other couple. That certainly did not make the atmosphere any less good or cozy contrary to other (negative reviews. And despite the fact that it was very quiet in terms of the number of guests (normally they are not open around this period, if I understood correctly from our hostess, so perhaps that was why it was quieter , there was more than enough choice/variety in particular the meat is present. There were also various sauces and side dishes available, as well as three types of soup and delicious bread from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Baked especially for this restaurant, so unfortunately not available elsewhere (we would have liked to have it at home : . The meat was particularly tasty in terms of marinades (possibly some salt for this or that one, but that is of course really a matter of taste: I like it .
