Merv's Cafe - Leicester

We were a family of four heading to a rugby match in Leicester, and we stopped at Mervs for a meal. The burgers and fries were excellent, with generous portions and great value. The staff were friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back for a meal before our next game!

After reading a previous review, I decided to grab a bite to eat before the game at Welford Road. Unfortunately, I can only describe the food as reminiscent of a factory canteen. The quality and value were both very disappointing. My two colleagues each ordered a hot dog, and they were so small that they seemed more suitable for a five-year-old. They were far from the quality one would expect from an "American diner," and both of my colleagues barely touched theirs. It's worth mentioning that we were the only customers there during the entire hour we spent. I certainly won't be returning.

The quality and value of the food were very disappointing. My two colleagues ordered hotdogs, which were so small they looked like something meant for five-year-olds. They were far from the quality one would expect from an 'American Diner'. Both of my colleagues left their meals half-finished. It's worth mentioning that we were the only diners during the entire hour we spent there. I definitely won't be coming back.

Tucked away from the main hustle and bustle, this place boasts friendly staff, a good selection of beers, and delicious food.
