Le Relais De Poste - Les Epesses

Very nice experience! Excellent regional cuisine and a social atmosphere, you feel back in the 18th century century transported!

This is a restaurant on the park of the Puy du Fou itself where you have to reserve in advance, and the meal is a set menu (salad and pate, main course of duck, sausage, ham with flageolet and green beans, and a dessert of baked apple and cake followed by coffee or tea). There is red wine on the table and water, and there is a simple children's menu option. You will be seated at a large table, and you will have as neighbours people you don't know. But the atmosphere of the whole place is very easy going, and people are relaxed and happy. Your meal will be accompanied by bursts of singing between courses from trained staff who reel off old French songs that many of the diners will know, even if they don't quite remember all the words or are too shy to belt out!

Here before Cinescenie on Saturday nights. Beautiful atmosphere, large tables with mix of nationalities eat together a plate of good food. Wine decent, food delicious and abundant. Ready in good time to come to the night show.

We booked Le Relais de La Poste as part of a 2 day trip to Puy du Fou. The food was ok, pork terrine, cassoulet type main brioche apple custard dessert. The kids had chicken nuggets with potatoe wedges. The entertainment was based on jealous husband wife owners relationship which would have been hard to grasp for any non-French speakers. Same as Le Halle de laRenaissance which we attended the day before, the service was rushed, 1 hour for 3 courses with entertainment...

Ambiance and food was really good. It's always a pleasure to have dinner when actors singing for you.
