The Smokehouse BBQ and BAR - Lethbridge

A friend recommended this barbecue restaurant to me, describing it as "that good barbecue place." They were right - the service was excellent (our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable) and the food was delicious. While it may not be the absolute best barbecue I've ever had, it was certainly the best I've had in a while (the Brisket Ends were especially tasty). The sauces were good, although I didn't feel the need to take any home myself, but I noticed other diners doing so (I personally enjoyed the Memphis style sauce). I wished there was more coleslaw as there wasn't enough to really savor, but overall the meal was enjoyable. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others.

Came to this place with a buddy. I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered the Brunswick stew and a beer. The stew was really good as was the beer. Friendly staff and hot food! Prices good too. Too bad it seems like the place isn't that busy, as it's a pretty decent place.

Today we went to this restaurant for lunch and were surprised to find it empty. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely fantastic! We tried the steak sandwich with fries and cedar, as well as a pound of brisket with coleslaw and green beans. Everything was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the BBQ sauces which were fresh and served chilled. I had enough brisket to take home with me, and I can't wait to come back when we're in the area again.

The food is tasty, but the side portion sizes are smaller than expected, especially considering the extra charge. The brisket and ribs were good, as was the coleslaw. The green beans are a must-try. The potato salad was not a favorite, and unfortunately, collard greens are not on the menu, which is a downside for those seeking an authentic southern BBQ experience. The decor is nice and new, but may be leftover from the previous Chinese restaurant. The service was inconsistent, with servers being overly attentive at times and neglectful of our needs at others, such as refilling our water.

I cannot say enough good about this restaurant. Every single time my family has been here the food has been spectacular,and the service has been great. These guys take celiac and other allergies very serious which means we can enjoy a meal out with peace of mind. I can only assume those who complain about Smokehouse either have no prior knowledge of the type cuisine they are cooking up or they think BPs and Montana's are good food. Keep up the great work guys, we absolutely will be back many times to come.
