Írjon visszajelzést4 of us went for an evening meal last week, (28th August 16) and it was faultless. Our friends had been before and thought we would like it. We all had three courses, each prepared very well, and just as importantly, on hot (where appropriate) and traditional plates. No fake tiles for the starters here! The table staff were very polite and attentive, and the owner made sure that everything was OK. From a personal point of view, this one of the best restaurants around Leucate. Parking is across the road in a public parking area, and does fill up. I strongly recommend that you take good care when you park so that you can easily get out again later. So, pick a good space, and reverse in! It is important to make a reservation here, and you can choose between eating inside in the courtyard/garden, or inside. I would revisit Le Jardin des Filoche without hesitation.
Several years ago we asked a local for a recommendation for a nice restaurant. This is the place they suggested. We have been eating at Le Jardin des Filoche once every year when we visit. Over the years we have gone from being impressed to being mildly disappointed. This year, as always the setting was lovely. Outdoor seating in a walled garden away from the dirt noise of the street. To begin they had lost or failed to record our reservation but we arrived at 19:30 so they were able to seat us. They have just the right dishes to enhance the appearance of everything they serve. The tiny shot glasses of gazpacho with a morsel of mozzarella were tasty and a nice diversion while we waited for the first course. First of all let me say, my companion enjoyed everything he ordered. I did not. For a starter I had a fennel salad with shrimp oranges. The fennel had been sliced on a mandolin was tasteless. The same was true of the side vegetables on my main dish although the sole itself was freshly cooked delicious. The female wait staff were extremely efficient pleasant. The male (head?? waiter, although also efficient, came across as a bit arrogant condescending. After this experience, we will probably look for a new favorite restaurant.
Place was crowded and the service was on the slow side, but it was surely worth the wait. Everything was genuine; generous, and skillful. If knew that if I want to try grilled kidney that was the place, and boy, I wasn't disappointed. Deserts of prunes, Armagnac and ice cream was as refreshing as it was rich in taste.
Fabulous location, fabulous food, fabulous attentive staff. Everything from the Amuse Bouche through to the petite four with coffee was superb. The Filoche family work very hard to offer these standards and it shows. If your in Leucate it’s a must but book well in advance in the season!
Booked as a couple. On arrival at 7:30, very busy with tables under cover and in the garden. Young families with children, older people we think we're local regulars) and everyone in between. Staff were attentive and very personable, but the main event, the food, was excellent, the starter and main, with an amuse bouche to get things going. Good aperitif and digestive list €3 to €6) and sensible wine list we had a pinot noir for €26 which was excellent). Set menu prices €30 €34 inclusive, good value for what you get e.g. whole fresh turbot for me, some supplements e.g. fois gras €2 starter). A fair pause between starter and main, no problem for us with lots to talk about, but may be an issue if you're in a hurry or don't have much to say to eachother! Desserts we had were just okay, not outstanding, rice pudding with cinnamon excellent) but with a marmalade accompaniment not sure about that) and prunes in armanac with vanilla ice cream, good but could have removed the stones and quartered the prunes for ease of eating. Very busy Friday night, not quite in season so booking recommend. We will definitely return.
