Írjon visszajelzéstWe are from Phoenix and needed to find a restaurant to help celebrate our son's Navy boot camp graduation. After researching establishments in the area we decided to celebrate at Tavern In The Town. This place was perfect from start to finish. The design was fun and beautiful lending to an amazing ambiance. The food was excellent and extremely flavorsome (one of the best steaks I've had). The staff was exceptional and the service was first-rate leaving our overall experience outstanding, and for this, I tip my hat to The Tavern In The Town.
We've been here several times, and it gets progressively. Service tonight was awful. Part of order didn't come out and waitress didn't come back to check on us until everything has been cleared. Didn't even get To order a second drink. It's Saturday night. Hello??? I am writing this as I am still waiting for the waitress to pick up the credit card. Menu is very limited and is not vegetarian friendly. We ordered 3 cheeses but they didn't come with any bread or crackers, and you couldn't order those as add ons. No meat alternative for sliders. A couple of salads but no main courses to choose from at least downstairs. A lot of options up and down Milwaukee here. ThInk twice before coming here.
Great food and service, and we had a special family dinner with our newly minted US Navy sailor to celebrate his graduation from boot camp. He missed steak in boot camp and ate all of his and half his sisters dinner. Thanks to our server (and the owners! for respecting our military!
I used to love this place (10 years ago . I was there recently for dinner. The place looks the same and still has a great feel. The quality of the food, drinks and service have gone down hill. The cocktail while sizeable and boozy was poorly balanced. The calamari appetizer was decent. The appetizer came out quickly (no complaint , but the main dishes came out less than 10 minutes later, before we had come close to finishing the app (unacceptable! We had fish, chicken and brussel sprouts. The fish seemed like a decent piece of halibut but it was swimming in butter sauce. The chicken had a strange texture and taste not good. Something was definitely wrong but it's hard to put my finger on it. The brussel sprouts were enormous, but had little flavor and were hard and chewy. Overall, it felt like not much care was put into the food.
A special place in all ways you will be delighted the moment you walk into the dining area joyful with the sparkling lights, the leather chairs and impeccable service from each and every person that serves you. The food is delicious , from the mussels, to the bread they serve salad, soup again delicious Caesar salad, the wedge salad and French onion soup all delicious. Main course perfect! We were tooo full to have dessert but I m certain it would have been just everything else we had terrific. As a surprise, our Server knew it was our anniversary and celebrated us providing us each with a glass of the best Champagne I have ever tasted my only regret was not finding out the name of the champagne
