This traditional pub has a friendly and helpful staff who provide excellent service without being pushy. The young man who served us was fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We both enjoyed the delicious steak sandwiches and chips, which were served in generous portions at a great value. We would definitely return to this establishment.

It seems that the premises has not been redecorated, despite being in need of it. In terms of positives, the food is of good quality and the staff and management are friendly. However, more attention should be given to properly managing the real ales. I plan to visit again in six months to see if any improvements have been made. I hope to see positive changes, as this pub is in a great location and was quite popular when it first opened in the early 80s.

The restaurant had a charming old-fashioned atmosphere and the staff were extremely helpful. I ordered a fish finger sandwich, which was not only huge but also delicious, all for just 8 pounds.

The fish and chips were right up there with the best Ive ever had in Lincoln but at a fraction of the cost. The Chef came out and asked us about the meal and was friendly and sociable. Great little venue with an olde world feel. Food was a bargain. Highly recommend.

I went here with my Daughter who is gluten free, the chef was so accommodating and offered a range of options. He cooked her a curry which she said was lovely. I had the roast beef Sunday lunch and it was stunning. Would definitely return thank you very much.
