The prices are quite reasonable, and the service is up to a good standard. It's no surprise that it's advisable to book a table in advance.
Great food, which is a rarity, and it rivals even some top restaurants! The chef deserves high praise! The interior has a somewhat worn feel, with everything styled to resemble a mining tunnel, as the name suggests. A little renovation would make it perfect!
I will never go back to Stolnya. I'm surprised that in a time when restaurants are competing for customers, Stolnya seems to have given up entirely. The food was terrible—I couldn't eat anything. The fried mussels and the fish and chips were inedible. The food was soaked in rancid oil that dripped down my hands. It tasted like the fryer hadn't been cleaned for weeks or the oil hadn't been changed. By morning, everyone had heartburn. The seafood platter was so unappetizing I couldn't even look at it. About a year and a half ago, it wasn’t this bad. On the plus side, the beer was decent, but that didn’t save the experience. The waitress refused to sell us a beer shortly before closing, even though we told her we could finish it before the end. She was completely unyielding. Management at Stolnya, are you serious? Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 3.
The management of this establishment should take note that there is a foul sewage smell! Thanks to the staff who tried their best to salvage the situation. I hope the bartenders find a better place to work so that I can visit them again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1
Great place: the food is a solid 5! The mackerel with crushed potatoes was incredibly tasty, along with the Atlantic herring, beef carpaccio, and salads. In addition to a good selection of beers, they also offer semi-dry cider. The interior is quite unusual—I'd even say it's intriguing. The serving times are average: salads take about 10-15 minutes, and hot dishes take 15-20 minutes. The waitstaff are excellent, and the establishment is very customer-oriented. I will definitely be back!
