Horta Dos Brunos - Lisboa

There were three of us as experienced travellers, we should have been less trusting no menu, no prices everything was at the suggestion of the chef . The food was fine although nothing special. When the bill for €248.90 arrived all we could do was laugh and resolve not to be conned again. Avoid or pay the price!!!

We have been suggested to go by our hotel concierge. He knew that we were willing to eat traditional portuguese lunch. The kind of experience at the Horta of Brunos was not what we expected. First of all it is like a fixed price menu: you do not receive a cart neither for the food nor for the wine. The restaurant brings plates to you, some nice some chip. But at the end you pay 100€ bill each. This is completely different from a lot of fantastic experiences in Lisboa where for that price you have enchanting experiences and excellent food. I live in Milano and, even there, lunch for 100€ is totally different. We thought that our concierge was the cousin of the owner…no other explanation
