Maria Do Carmo - Lisbon

The place is very close to the Convento do Carmo, on the menu has a vegan section with mainly Italian pasta (spaghetti bolognese, with spinach or Sauté vegetables). As an Italian I appreciate the effort for the Bolognese, which was very far from the real, but the part was very big!

This is the restaurant of a hotel. It's in a fantastic spot, Praca do Carmo, and the terrace is really nice. Howerver, the food is nothing special: the beyond burger is served with some lettuce and two slices of tomato, and the bread is not great. The vegetable tempura is too heavy, and the one I got was 100% pepper (spme variety would have been nice). Finally, from what I was told, the fish was nothing special. I wasn't surprised to see that the place was empty at 20:45 on a Friday evening...
