Herons Country Fried Chicken - Lisburn

It is better to stick to what you know best. We tried this place for a change from KFC, but we were very disappointed. We paid 5.80 for a 2-piece chicken meal and received a wing and a drumstick in a pool of grease, accompanied by dried up and tasteless chips that seemed to have been sitting under a heater for hours. The chicken was flavorless and the portion for the price was terrible. My wife had a chicken fillet burger meal, but the fillet was half the size of the cold, stale bun and extremely dry. The burger was filled with an overwhelming amount of onion and an excessive amount of mayo that failed to moisten the chicken. The gravy had a strange color and an even weirder and unpleasant taste, which was difficult to describe. Overall, this was the worst meal we have ever had and we will never eat at this or any other Heron branch again.

Great chicken pieces, and fillets. If you're really hungry go for the kebab on chips with salad and chilli sauce! Mm mmmm.

During our long day out, we felt hungry and decided to try the special lunch box offer at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. The chicken had a delicious crispy and slightly spicy coating.

Without a doubt this is the best herons on the country! So fresh and haven't been disappointed once! Would highly recommend anyone to eat here

If you are after fried chicken then this place is as good as the KFC round the corner. The menu is decent although the chips aren't great and overall not that cheap of a place but the chicken is tasty.
