Rifugio Bec De Roces

Two of us had a great summer overnight stay. We parked near the Hotel Monte Cherz and walked about 20mins with our packs up the track. Fantastic place. Very grateful for the efforts put into the vegan catering for dinner and breakfast, really impressed particularly with the lovely beans for protein in dinner, the sweet bars and soy yoghurt included in breakfast. The hospitality was wonderful. The two person room was clean, spacious, with bedding and towel included. Lovely view from the balcony and with a very clean shared bathroom. The next day hiked over to Rif Kostner (1hr 30).

Stunning views from this restaurant. Quite chilly outside even on a sunny day, quite high up. Not so satisfied with the food: pizza slices were cold and without taste. Spaghetti bolognese was better. Clean toilets.

The hut is perfectly situated to finish off the day’s skiing, watch the sunset and ski down to Arabba. We used this most days to finish off but didn’t eat there until the final day as we like to go a bit further a field. On the last day we used h pizza restaurant upstairs. All I can say is that the best meal was the last!! If we had eaten there earlier in the week, there is no doubt we would have been back. The pizzas were excellent, huge and thin, too big for one. We shared three between 5 of us and there was plenty. We will remember the sunsets forever!

Il rifugio si trova in una valle, e quando c'è il sole si gode di un bel riposo. cibo è di buona qualità e prezzi onesti. il personale è gentile, in breve, una buona fermata, da fare.
