Írjon visszajelzéstWe really wanted to like this place because we are locals, but we were extremely disappointed. The hummus order was the smallest container I have ever seen and very thick. They gave a lot of pita bread, but it didn't make up for the lack of hummus. The platters were also very small, more like a little bit of meat and some white rice. I also ordered the Greek salad, which had a hair in it when we opened it and mostly consisted of lettuce. A Greek salad should have peppers, but this one did not. We left feeling disappointed and still hungry. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
This afternoon, I placed a phone order for lunch and was delighted to discover a casual spot where I could pick up my food. I was in the area running errands and wanted to try a new place. Both my partner, who is vegetarian, and I love Greek food (usually finding great veggie-friendly options with Greek cuisine). The food was delicious and fresh, passing my tzatziki test with flying colors. Our lunch included spinach pie with fries, a large Greek salad, a falafel platter, and hummus dip with pita - all of which were highly recommended. If you are driving to The Greek Place, there is a small private parking lot available for the stores in the corner building where the restaurant is located. Access to the parking lot is off Glendale Avenue.
I have ordered delivery from this restaurant both last weekend and this weekend, and I can't say enough wonderful things about it. The food is authentically Greek and absolutely delicious. The moussaka is probably the best I've ever had. The Greek salad was fresh with a generous amount of feta cheese, delicious grape leaves, black olives, tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and a wonderful Greek dressing. The baked beans, which are actually large butter or lima beans in a tomato sauce with Greek spices, are addictive. The tzatziki is perfect and very fresh, served with warm pitas. The owners, a married couple, are the kindest, most gracious, and accommodating owners I have ever encountered. They are warm and friendly, making you feel like you've known them your entire life. I can't wait to visit the restaurant and meet them in person. This restaurant definitely deserves five stars, or even a perfect 10!
This place is a gem in Livingston. A bit hard to find from the outside with an unassuming look. However, it offers a lot for the menu. Food is delicious, portion is great, staff is friendly. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.Parking: Plenty of parking at the back of the building, or at the town center which is next to its building.
I don't understand the good reviews. Got a falafel platter, it took 40 mins to come out. Falafel is rock hard and tasteless. Similar to if I'd put frozen falafel in the oven and forgot about them. Cauliflower side is steamed plain cauliflower, underdone. $15? did I just get punked?
