Pho Hong - Lockhart

The food was excellent, and the recent renovations really transformed the atmosphere of what I used to know as Huddle House—though the floor, red-trimmed entrance, and bathroom area remain unchanged. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have boba for the Thai tea, but that was a minor issue. Some of the main entrees had a bit too much rice for my liking. Since their opening, they’ve been very busy; when I arrived, the entire restaurant was full, and I had to wait for a seat to become available. Overall, it’s a fantastic addition to Lockhart, but if business continues to thrive like it has, they might need to reconsider their seating arrangements to accommodate more diners.

I ordered the chicken fried rice and the grilled pork with egg roll vermicelli. The chicken fried rice was dry, and the rice itself was undercooked. It was somewhat bland, but the generous amount of chicken breast was a nice touch. The vermicelli was quite good. The portion sizes are large, and the staff is very friendly. It's great to have this restaurant closer to me so I don’t have to drive all the way to Austin.

Absolutely fantastic! The noodle dishes are exceptional—delicious, flavorful, and generous in portion. The hostess, Crystal, adds to the experience with her delightful presence; you feel like you have her full attention. Your drinks are continually refilled, ensuring you never go thirsty. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Delicious! Don't let the outside scare you aware. You'll be sorry. We had the Chicken Fried Rice and Phô Tom (Shrimp) and they were both great. I ordered at lunch time, to-go and received my food within reasonable time. Both items we ordered were HUGE for the price we paid. Sorry- I couldn't catch a pic of the pho before it was devoured.

We had rice plates with grilled chicken and pork. They're really good and in big portions. Services are good and fast too.
