Soul Caribe - Lodi

My wife ordered the Pernil (Roast Pork) with rice and cassava, while I tried the Cuban sandwich. My wife’s dish was exquisite—delicately delicious. My Cuban sandwich was massive, loaded with meat, cheese, and pickles, and served with crispy plantain chips. We felt satisfied and ready for our next meal. I ordered a flan (custard) to go because I was too full to have dessert right then. Later that evening, I tried the flan, but it tasted a bit generic, dry, and gummy—not fresh at all. Because of this disappointment with the flan, I would have rated Soul Caribe five stars, but I can't due to that letdown. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

The Spanish food here is incredibly authentic. The empanadas, croquetas, and Frita Cubana are all exceptional!

The fried pork chop was delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The yuca in mojo was incredibly tender.

Love loves her food. The staff is brilliant and the owner is very attentive to his costumes and is a very sweet guy. Your Cuban sandwich is highly recommended and they also have my favorite Colombian soda to postobon!
