I never come here again. Got the pastrami hardly any meat ALL bread! Must be new owner! So sad because when my dad was here he worked at the veterans hospital and would go there for lunch and loved the pastrami. And the man new my dad by his order. This place is like any other place these days....cutting cost. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch
Angelo's was an Italian restaurant. It now serves two separate menus (Italian; Lebanese) when owners changed hands. Angelo's no longer provides relish items (beets, carrots, pickles), and you cannot ask for this anymore on the side. The mizithra cheese is less flavorful, and the oil for the Italian rolls appears now to have a hint of Middle Eastern herbs/spice. Last time I came here a few months ago, I tried the spaghetti marinara... bland and oily. Whereas the prior Italian owners provided a basket of small, light and fluffy rolls (approx. 6), the updated menu provides two small rolls. The person preparing the food was wearing plastic gloves for hygiene purposes which one would expect. She grabbed the spaghetti with her hands from the stainless steel container and transferred the spaghetti, 2-3 fistfuls, to the plate. Even though the food preparers are wearing gloves and the restaurant appears clean, I would venture to guess that Italian eateries do not transfer pasta from the heated pot to the plate with their hands/fists. As much as I'd love to return again, the Italian food is a bust. The Italian menu seems to be prepared by kitchen workers or managers who do not enjoy Italian food. This is only the second time I've been to Angelo's since the pandemic ended, and unfortunately now the last.
This is my 9 year old son's favorite place to eat. He asks at least 5 times a week to get Angelo's! The food is always yummy and the staff is awesome and friendly.
Their spaghetti and garlic bread are delicious! Hidden little gem in Loma Linda. Definitely a place to revisit,
