Írjon visszajelzéstYummy! When I first saw the exterior of this Punjabi restaurant in London, I was worried it would be pricey or overly geared towards tourists. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options on the menu. The service was also very friendly.
Located in Covent Garden, at the heart of the theatre district, Punjab Restaurant is a gem specializing in traditional cuisine from northern India. Open seven days a week, it offers delicious tandoori dishes and a variety of other specialties, all served with attentive care. The atmosphere is enchanting, drawing in patrons from both near and far. I will definitely be returning!
This restaurant is known as the first of its kind in London, serving traditional Northern Indian cuisine. Overall, the food was excellent and my favorite dish was the Tikka Masala. Just be aware that prices do not include a 10% service charge, which may come as a surprise when you receive the bill. It's good to know that this charge is optional, so you can decide whether or not to pay it.
The restaurant is well-rated and has received positive reviews. The appetizers we tried, including the pakoras and samosas, were fantastic and highly recommended. However, the main curry dishes did not meet our expectations. The Nan bread was good. The service provided by the staff was satisfactory, although they seemed to be in a hurry, giving off the impression that they wanted us to order, eat, and leave quickly. This may be to avoid rushing during peak hours. Overall, it was a decent dining experience.
The service at this restaurant could use some improvement, as the staff seemed unwilling to explain the menu items to us. They were very fast in serving us, but we suspect it was because the food wasn't freshly prepared. I ordered the eggplant dish and my friend ordered a lamb dish, but neither of us enjoyed our meals. The eggplant was not served hot and quickly became cold under the AC, and lacked flavor. We also ordered cheese naan, but it didn't have a strong cheese taste.
