Smollensky's on the strand - London

I recently dined at a friendly American restaurant in London called "The Beach." The happy hour was enjoyable, but I found the bar service to be a bit slow. The waitstaff only came to our table when we asked, but as a group, we didn't mind. The food was delicious (better than other American restaurants in London) and the decor added to the overall pleasant experience.

The service at this restaurant was extremely poor. We ordered drinks twice, but they were both forgotten so we never received them. To make matters worse, after we paid the bill and were ready to leave, another dish that we had already paid for arrived at our table a full 75 minutes after our last food item. Unfortunately, we had to leave and had no opportunity to eat the dish or get a refund.

The service was friendly when a little slow, drinks ok price wise. Eating was typical American style, but not very good. I'm not going back.

Good place before eating, but the choice of happy hour cocktails is really limited and we ended up a few bottles of wine! don't think they have choices! I had also mentioned that it was the 50th birthday of my friend, but there was no mention of it during the time we were there.

Excellent pretheater restaurant especially for groups. large portions, delicious food.
