Írjon visszajelzéstThe food is great and quite pricey given the portion. £15 for the fried chicken pieces with 60% of the plate being dried chilli is kinda ridiculous. The dumplings are really good! Although I find it a little misleading that they have a sign in the restaurante saying everything is made fresh daily which is true with the tofu, but not for a bunch of other stuff probably or I'd be very surprised. I am pretty sure a lot of pre made asian style meat substitute is used (like the fake fish and asian style cured meat thing). It's also a little too salty for my taste, but that's probably just me, it's always the case with chinese restaurants I find them quite salty. Went there when they first opened and it was really popular and either a queue or booking required. there's another branch now so I guess the hype is over. certainly won't be queueing up for this food. This isn’t the first time we’ve been to Tofu Vegan. It has been a staple stop for us on our visits to London for the last year or so. I’ve been vegan for around 5 years now, and it was challenging finding Chinese restaurants that cater well for vegans. I missed having dim sum with my family and all the staples I enjoyed as a kid growing up. Thank goodness for Tofu Vegan existing because I don’t feel like I miss out on anything anymore. They have dim sum options, lots of dishes, including ho fun noodles which are my favourite! It’s easy to get to and the service is great. The staff are attentive and very helpful, always willing to provide recommendations. I highly recommend visiting Tofu Vegan if you really want to eat a truly authentic vegan Chinese meal.
Called in before going to show. Busy but very welcoming and took number and we got table when one became free. Food is great good recommendations from waiter!
Great choice of dishes and pictures on the menu don 't give them justice. Definitely ask the waiters if it 's your first time there as they have great advice! We were advised to try the Twice cooked fisc and steamed buns and it was really mind-blowing! We also had sizzling tofu in house special sauce and that was also great! As dessert we got advised to get the sweet potato rolls and they were definitely yummy!
This restaurant has been on my list for ages so I was very excited to come here. I went with my partner on Valentine's Day and we loved the cute decor and feel of the restaurant. The menu was extensive and it was difficult to pick what we wanted, it all looked so good! We went for a starter, two hot dishes, dim sum, two refillable rice bowls, a dessert and a glass of wine between us. The food was all tasty – I particularly enjoyed our starter (deep fried tofu with salt and Sichuan pepper) but I wasn't blown away. Our meal was tasty and I enjoyed it but I didn't think it justified the hefty £70 that we paid for it. It may look like we ordered a lot of food for that price but after eating all that I wasn't even that full! I think it's worth giving this place a try as the food is still good and many of the other reviewers rave about it, so maybe I missed something or ordered the wrong options, but I was just left feeling a little underwhelmed.
