Írjon visszajelzéstLast week, Tim and I decided to try out a new restaurant in our neighborhood after hearing good things about Tota near Tooting Broadway. We were both in the mood for steak and wanted to find a place nearby where we could enjoy a nice meal and then easily walk (or roll!) back home in just a few minutes. The restaurant had great lighting and was very cozy, which was perfect on a cold and rainy day. I chose a glass of sparkling wine with brandy while Tim opted for a beer. I apologize for the quality of the photos, as someone had promised to bring my camera but ended up forgetting it, so I had to make do with my phone camera.
A new restaurant has opened in Toots and it is about time! I have been three times in the first week and everything was exceptional. The amazing smokey ribs cooked on an open grill were a highlight. Everything looks very homemade. I didn't have a starter, but my sweet tooth was well taken care of with a passion fruit bavarois one night and a pear tart the next. The employees are young, sharp, and eager, but they may need a little direction. Overall, I am very happy that Toots is on the rise!
This restaurant is a fantastic addition to Tooting. I have been twice for brunch and twice for dinner, and I can't fault it. The pancakes with maple syrup were just as good as any I've had in NYC! I also tried the calamari and steak on my first visit, and the chicken liver parfait and pastries with white beans and chorizo on my second visit - all were excellent. The restaurant is also very child-friendly. It is beautifully designed and a great addition to the area.
...articular highlights are their burgers with buttermilk onion rings, calamari, fritto misto, pork ribs and their delicate treatment of their fresh fish special, which changes daily. The people behind Tota have put the focus on big plates of simple but delicious food, this is not true of many of the food establishments in Shoreditch...
Tota mixes urban cool with vintage overtones and I just love the decor. The restaurant is laid-back but also smart. It is just a short walk from Tooting Broadway tube station and is already a local favourite! Tota serve up some seriously tasty food and unique smoothies. Service is quick and always with a smile. I certainly recommend the restaurant, especially for a weekend brunch. It does get busy quickly so do make sure to book a table in advance!
