Delicious vegan bao rolls and they have a few good vegan sides. the ambiente is always great and it is always busy. they have no vegan dessert and is a little expensive.
They have a separate vegan menu, as well as vegan specialties and beautiful cocktails.
Herr Bao is one of my favorite places in London. The food is always excellent and the service is top-notch. I would dine there every night if I could!
The food at the restaurant was great, but the service was slow yet friendly. We had to ask twice for water, and our glass of white wine took so long to arrive that we had to ask a second time. The house white, a chardonnay, was above average and priced at £4.30 for a large glass. It was dry with low acidity, making it a great match for Asian food. The attention to detail was impressive, with a three-minute timer brought out for the pot tea I ordered. The price of the dishes was low, so the quality was fair. The pulled pork dish I had was delicious, with braised meat in sweet soy sauce, Chinese pickled greens, and sweet powdered eddie. We also shared a sesame spinach salad priced at £1.70, which was tender and dressed in a delicious sesame dressing. The fried chicken with miso mayo was fantastic, with a crispy coating and juicy meat. However, the sweet potato chips were disappointing, as they were overcooked and oily. My companion had to order another glass of wine to cut through the greasiness. The wasabi mayo that came with the chips added a nice kick. Our bill for a light lunch for two with drinks came to £23 before service. Next time, I would like to try the chicken bao, which looked fantastic and was filled with kimchi and fried chicken.
