Ozen Korea - London

Thought we would give Ozen a try and we were very happy we did. The dinning room is clean and comfortable and the wait staff was excellent. Took us a while to get thru the menu as the food is very unique but we decided to have the Sizzling Stone Bowl Bibimbap with beef and it was excellent. At the start they brought a few plates that consisted of Kim chi, zucchini, potato and bean sprouts. All were cooked in a different way and were delicious. Loved dining at Ozen and will definitely be returning.

The premise here is that diners will cook their own food over a gas-fire barbeque placed in the centre of the dining tables. Each table accommodates no more that four people in practical terms/ Food consists of smallish separate portions of meat, fish, vegetables, etc. all of which are to be grilled on the bbq. The portions may be bought separately or there is an all-you-can eat option. Small quantities of condiment are provided, included for no cost as I recall.We found the food portions were all fresh and appealing. However prices were not cheap.Cooking is slow at least if there are three of more at the table. Noted that the grilling surface will need to be changed several times because of burnt on food residue. Frankly the cooking effort gets boring fast. The condiments ran out fairly quickly and we had to ask the server often to refill.The ambiance is pleasant enough but we found it getting warm due to the grill heat once the tables began to fill with diners. Service was satisfactory given the other issues.

Nice; clean restaurant. Friendly staff and fun dishes that aren't seen elsewhere. Food quality is great and in the three times I've gone each has been very flavourful.

Nothing like the Ozen downtown on Richmond. We were going to have the same food we eat downtown but nothing like it. We actually had a very difficult time choosing anything...we will return to the downtown location next time.

This is a new space and it is very nicely decorated. The staff are pretty young. They are not the same as the Richmond Street OZen unfortunately.
