The food was delicious and fair. The staff was friendly.

I’m a trucker and I’ve eaten at thousands of eateries across the nation and there’s many great places to eat but I’ve gotta say not many as good as this one service top notch price worth every penny in my opinion you can’t go wrong if you live nearby your lucky if you ever get close enough to stop I advise you to one great place to go we had dinner and breakfast the next morning got 4 coffee mugs to take home 22 dollars for four.

UPDATED: Since the original post I have returned. The restaurant was busy, but the service was still good. I recommend this location based on this experience. ORIGINAL POST: Let 's start with the positives. The place is clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. I was immediately greeted as I sat down at the counter. There were 2 other customers also seated at the counter. The food was fresh and delicious. Now begins the details of why I only gave 2 stars. It took 5 minutes for the server to ask what I would like to drink, and another 10 minutes to take my order... after another customer who had come in later than me. While I was waiting I overheard a customer say I 've been here alone before and still waited half an hour. Another customer came in who was clearly a regular had ordered grits, but the server didn 't know they were out. He got up and left saying he was going somewhere else. The food came via another employee. My server never came to check on the meal or offer more coffee. I would be tolerant of this if it were busy, but it was not at all. Lastly, the heat is on over 80°F and people including myself found it uncomfortable. Friendly but terrible service to sum up the problem.

In town for kids football game for a bite between games. Pretty busy on a Sunday, but wait was about 20m. I can say it is packed waiting area is quite small, but okay. In a little hurry, but food quickly came waiter was great, attentively efficient. Crayons menus for color are the simplest plus. The prices were good. The kids have Mickie mouse pancakes with fast sandwiches. About $50 for 4 people.

This place stays true to the American diner experience, everything is fresh, the drinks are cane sugar, and the staff are amazing. I fully recommend this place, but be warned, because everything is made fresh, it will take some time to get your food. However that's not a terribly long wait. This is truly a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, not fast food.
