Carl's Jr. - Long Beach

We had Carl 's Jr for Mother 's Day. Yeah, that 's right...try not to laugh.We were at my mother 's on Sunday and none of us felt like going out to deal with the crowds, long waits, hectic activity, all to take our chances at some restaurant that might risk yielding a low star review. This happened last year at a place that carries an average 4.5* Yelp rating, but on that day I wouldn 't rate it higher than a 3. Upon discussing possibilities someone mentioned Carl 's Jr. The reaction went along the lines of Wow I haven 't had Carl 's Jr in a LOOOOONNG time! The more we talked about it the more we craved it. I had the Carl 's Jr app on phone so I placed a mobile order for carryout. I got the Big Carl for $7.69. Mom wanted the Super Star with No Cheese (the only option in the app was the Super Star with Cheese at $8 and I had to go into customize mode to select No Cheese. Normally when you select a hamburger instead of cheeseburger it would cost less, but unfortunately here a Super Star without cheese still cost $8. Hopefully HQ its app developers will take notice and correct this. For the others in our group we got a couple of Double Western Bacon Cheeseburgers at $9 each, a nine piece Chicken Stars at $6.59, a couple Fried Zucchinis at $4.29 each, and a couple large French Fries at $3.69 each.We checked in on the app upon arrival and the food was ready in around 5 minutes. Being a little nervous about the accuracy of large orders I checked the bag before departing. Everything was there.All of us enjoyed our meal. No flaws in the food quality were noted by anyone in our group. One good thing about Carl 's Jr is that they stayed true to their classic offerings burgers like the Super Star and Western Bacon Cheeseburger still keeps those classic juicy charbroiled flavors without compromise over time. Carl 's Jr tends to be on the more pricier side...and that was even before this modern era of crazy 'screw the consumer inflation ' from 2021 to present day. Surely this was a contributing factor to all of us not having Carl 's Jr in a LOOOOONNG time.But on this day it didn 't really matter much. All the burgers and sides were devoured, our hunger and cravings were appeased, good times were had by all! Four stars!
