Írjon visszajelzéstWe waited approximately 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and the food took about an hour and a half after we ordered. We ended up being there for around three hours. While the music was enjoyable, it was far too loud, making it difficult for us to have a proper conversation. It seems the kitchen doesn't have an efficient system in place. I've been to other excellent Colombian restaurants with outstanding service, so I wouldn’t choose to return.
Having just moved to Long Beach, I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was blown away by the amazing food. My favorite Colombian dish is Bandeja Campesina, and it did not disappoint. If you're ever in Long Beach and looking for a taste of Colombia, you absolutely have to try El Paisa.
I'm really glad I discovered this spot in LB, especially after feeling disappointed when El Bambuco closed down. I've visited twice so far. During my first visit, I tried the Bandeja Paisa, which was excellent. On my second visit, I ordered a patacón, which is a flat fried plantain topped with various ingredients. I requested beef, but they accidentally gave me chicken instead. They offered to fix it, but I was short on time, so I went ahead and ate it. Along with the patacón, I had a sweet corn arepa topped with cheese, and it was fantastic. As for parking, there's a lot behind the restaurant next to the laundromat, and if that's full, there's plenty of street parking available. The area does seem a bit sketchy, so make sure to lock your car and not leave any valuables inside.
Update: During my last visit, I noticed the portion sizes had been significantly reduced. While I had previously been pleased with the generous servings, I’m now unsure if I would return for a main dish or just an appetizer.
Over 20 years since I came in at EL PAISA MARISCOS RESTAURANT. Fresh and Tasty. Sincerely Jesus Banda's honest reviews.
