Gilan Pizza&grill - Long Beach

On another note, I noticed what felt like some discriminatory treatment towards my family and me compared to other diners in the restaurant. Many other customers also seemed to stare at my family, particularly a man at the table next to us. I truly don't understand why people can be so rude! Additionally, there was a long wait for seating, and it felt uncomfortable being watched by all those waiting, including my family. It seemed unnecessary and quite rude; the lack of manners was shocking! One might say these individuals could use a lesson in etiquette. I really wish the staff would find a way to manage the waiting customers so that we could enjoy our meal in peace. It felt like we were being hurried to finish our food so they could be seated, which was frustrating. And the children were even worse! Would I eat there again? No, I think I'll stick to Round Table. I ended up spending about $137 treating my family. I also paid $140 and left a small tip for the server, though I didn’t think he deserved my two extra dollars. I hope he uses it wisely. Strangely enough, when I paid in cash, his attitude seemed to change. For some reason, I felt discriminated against—I might be Mexican, but I know how to pay for my food, whether it's a burger or fries.

We had to repeatedly ask our server to refill our drinks, and after the second refill, he informed us there would be an additional charge, even though the cups were already quite small. To top it off, all the plates we received were wet. Our server noticed that we were drying them off but didn’t apologize or offer to replace them. Overall, the customer service was poor, the food was disappointing, and the entire experience was far from enjoyable. We’ll definitely be sharing our negative experience with others. I gave this review a star just to post it, but it truly deserves zero stars. My bill was $97, and the only redeeming drink was the Coke.

Eventually, the waitress took our order, but I had to clean my fish with a napkin because they didn’t provide vinegar as a condiment. I was hesitant to ask for a drink refill, fearing that they might retaliate in some way. Overall, the food wasn’t worth the trouble we went through. When it came time to settle the bill, the waitress just stood there waiting for me to pay, which is not the norm in most restaurants where the staff usually comes back after presenting the bill. This experience left us feeling unwelcome, and I doubt we’ll return anytime soon. It felt like we were being discriminated against, and that’s a shame.

They let a pizza come out, which was clearly not done and wet. I'd come back to drink a beer and maybe eat some fries. I suggest not ordering the pizza.

This place was absolutely ridiculous. Avoid this place at all cost. We were there this weekend and sat out on the patio area. 1. Our waitress was rude almost the whole time we were there. Myself and three others finished our water glasses and asked for more water. She took our glasses, started to leave and replied ?there?s more water cups on the table?(which were the kid?s cups) then took off into the restaurant. She eventually brought a pitcher of water 30 minutes later and we still didn?t have a glass to drink out of. Also, when some of the food finally got to the table, she just placed it down and took off without checking on anything else. As she was walking away, we called out to ask for silverware, she rolled her eyes and told us ?yes the host is bringing it? but said it like it was a huge inconvenience. 2. The place was not busy when we got there and wasn?t busy for the first 30-45 minutes we were there. For some reason, our food was brought out one at a time about five to ten minutes apart. My brother in law didn?t get his food almost 20 minutes after everyone got there food. 3. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were room temp and the fish was still frozen in the middle so I sent it back. She said she would warm them up for me in the microwave?At this point we?ve been there almost two hours so I told her don?t even bother. $17 for fish and chips to be warmed up in a microwave? Haha no thank you. The whole experience was just ridiculous. I?ll never go here and you shouldn?t either.
