Just stayed here on March 12th and had already paid for our room. When we get to the hotel they charge my card again for the hotel room. I wasn't aware, when I get to my room I noticed the charge. I asked about it, they informed me they had reversed it. I asked why they charged me again for the room? The answer I got was it's complicated. They also put a charge on my card for incidentals and parking. Which I understand, this is the norm. They let me know that the charge for the room would be reversed in about 5 days. I call its been over a week and the charge has not been removed. They had no one available to help me. They asked that I call back. I asked to speak with a manager. He told me it's out of his hands. I would need to speak with the account manager. Waiting on a call back.
1000$ room a night for a large nice suite and no water no snacks in the room whatsoever. Not even for purchase
UPDATE: received a call from Helena yesterday from the hotel and she truly understood our frustrating experience. I am updating to 3 stars just based on her call alone as all it takes it a little humility to go a long way in my book. An apology and understanding was really what lacked in this experience and she delivered that. Will I return to this particular Marriott? Probably not, but I will try another Marriott and give them a chance at redemption. We received a notification from the bonvoy Marriott app that our room was ready at 3:15. When we arrived at 3:45 we were told it would be ready around 4. When we checked back with the front desk around 4:15 and they said it would be another 30 minutes. They gave us a $20 voucher (which doesn't even cover a round of drinks) which had a room number 702 on it. When we again checked to see if it was ready at 5, they said it wasn't and couldn't even give a time frame. How can you not give a time frame? Will we get a room in an hour, two, will we get one tonight at all?! Sherry at the front desk was the only one who was kind and apologetic. Nick the manager came over and offered a 10% discount for our stay which only equaled $150. We were missing a festival down the street where our tickets cost $200 each. This amount in no way made up for the inconvenience, experience, and money lost. We eventually got the keys to the room at 5:45, while the people who were previously in our room were in front of us in line. We specifically heard her say room 702, which was the room we eventually got. We asked her and she said she checked out a little bit ago. So we had someone with a very late check out in our room and this was not communicated to us. Our negative experience did not end there. When we went to check out we explained the situation and just wanted to make sure our 10% was included. She immediately said we don't do that I don't know who said that. I motioned to Nick standing at the computer next to her that he did. She was extremely rude and made us feel like an inconvenience. To be quite honest we felt like a nuisance the entire time when we were polite and patient through out the ordeal. We also spent more than $100 eating and drinking in the lobby while we waited. Couldn't even use the voucher because we had to actually have the room before we could use it (words from the server). I spoke with corporate, Alexander, on the phone when this all went down and he was quite unhelpful. Said he wasn't authorized to do much more and had no training in regards to why the app said our room was ready when it wasn't. Call at 4:47 pm for 14 minutes Feburary 4th, if it was recorded you can check. Especially since he promised someone would be reaching out this week and it's Friday the 11th and I've received no such call. I most likely will never stay at a Marriott with this lack of humility and professionalism. P.S: As other reviews state, TV does not work. We had one bath and hand towel between the 2 of us. Bed is uncomfortable, the pillows provide absolutely no neck support. No extra toilet paper provided, we had 2 half used rolls when we checked in. For $400 a night this is absolutely insane.
I travel a lot, so when I saw what a disappointment.. believe me, it was. A Sunday night stay for a standard room $400, I expected so much more from a Marriott establishments. The TV did not work no signal , and when calling the front desk they said it was the service provider affecting the entire area. Hard to believe when it didn 't work from check in to check out. Yet the bar tv and other patrons had no issues. The toilet handle gets stuck so you hear the water running if you don 't adjust it back. Not fun when you 're back in bed after a 3am bladder call and have to fix it again. The bathroom sink. No hot water available because the hot water handle just spins and spins. We had to use the hot water from the bath faucet. I wanted to speak to management upon check out, and opted to do so IF we were asked by the front desk about how was your stay . We were never asked. Management: Room #811, if anyone is interested in making the repairs needed. I would not recommend to anyone a stay at this hotel.
