Ship Bottom Ice Cream - Long Beach

I didn't really get to eat my ice cream because the girl put a whole bunch of ice cream in a small cup. I got rocky road with marshmallow syrup and from what I tasted it would have been phenomenal if I wasn't struggling to keep the ice cream in the cup. Good ice cream, nice people, just please don't give out cups overflowing so that whoever is holding it wants to put it down and wash their hands.

Online doesn't tell you how long wait is until after you order, staff is rude and takes for ever to get online order. Line was much faster.

The minute I walked in this summer I knew the original owner had sold this place. They only had five ice flavors and three of them were sold out (they used to be known for their dozens of ice flavors). We got soft serve ice cream instead and afterwards we all agreed it was just bad .... not worth the calories. I would never come back.

This is not the meltdown which was our favorite on the island. It was bought over and only offers regular plain flavors?no mochachino or any of the unique/blended flavors and more creative offerings Meltdown had. We miss Meltdown.

Not the melt down?Although the ice cream was okay, there were not as many flavor options (too many vegan flavors). We did not feel as welcomed when we walked in but we were glad to walk away with ice cream.
