The Surf Room - Long Beach

As the event date approached, Erica called to confirm details and mentioned that no outside liquor was allowed, which was fine. However, she didn’t suggest that the hotel could provide liquor, so I ended up having to call Sandra to resolve this, which meant I had to purchase the liquor from the hotel. On the day of the party, I noticed that Sandra was absent. When I called her, I found out she was no longer able to assist me. My dad and I arrived early and noticed eight lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling, apparently in the process of being fixed. My dad brought this to their attention, leading them to finally fix the lights, but unfortunately, the food area was still poorly lit. Later, Erica called me to say I had an outstanding balance, despite having paid everything in advance. I sent proof of payment to both Sandra and the manager, David, but Erica insisted I still owed money. When I finally met Erica in person, she started asking multiple times about the type of guests I had invited, expressing concern that she didn’t want anything to go wrong. I found her questioning excessive to the point I mentioned she sounded traumatized. As the party began, I requested that the air conditioning be turned down from its initial setting of 74 degrees. Erica only lowered it to 70 degrees and claimed any lower would make it freezing due to poor ventilation. The AC was ineffective, and when I asked again, Erica brought out small fans but seemed unsure where to plug them in, leaving my family using plates to fan themselves. Towards the end of the evening, I noticed a couple trying to take drinks from our event. When I approached them, they claimed they thought it was part of the hotel, so I had to ask them to leave. Despite spending thousands of dollars, the hotel allowed uninvited guests to enter my party and take our drinks, and I still did not receive the security I had paid for! While my party was fun, the service was dreadful. It felt like their main focus was on making money.

I've only visited this restaurant once for a baby shower. The room was lovely, featuring a lounge area divided into three sections with around 12 tables, each accommodating about eight to ten people. The decor had a fresh, whitewashed style. The restroom was conveniently located nearby. There was also a bar area for dancing, as well as a designated space for serving food. Overall, it had a pleasant atmosphere.

Surf Room Catering did an amazing job for our wedding! David was exceptionally easy to work with and guided us through every step, from organizing a tasting to clarifying our contract and assisting with all our pre-wedding coordination and inquiries. The food was delicious, and the tables were beautifully arranged. The staff on the day of the event was professional, efficient, and friendly to both us and our guests. We couldn't be happier with our choice of wedding caterer and will definitely keep recommending you to our friends and family.

My cousin got married and we had the party in here for some of the time it was really nice and decorated beautiful I loved the theme of the beach and really fit in with my family and the food was delicious and the service was great I hope you guys enjoy it when you guys have a party there it was the best party place I could ever think of
