Cavali New York - Long Island City

I visited Cavali for the first time and was completely impressed. The service was top-notch from the moment I arrived. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, providing service that went above and beyond. The food was incredible—it's hard to describe just how good it was. The atmosphere was perfect, reminiscent of Manhattan but with an extra touch of elegance. The music was enjoyable, featuring a variety of genres. Thank you, Cavali, for a wonderful experience! I just want you to know that we will definitely be back. Keep up the great work!

First, the positives: the venue is spacious and can easily accommodate large groups. There’s a DJ, and I believe at 11 PM it transitions into a full lounge atmosphere. They also require vaccination cards, so make sure to have the app with your QR code ready or be prepared to wear a mask. The staff were friendly and helpful. Now, onto the negatives: Out of our party, only three people received hot meals. The rest of us were served food that was cold. Considering the prices, the portion sizes were disappointingly small. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes, and aside from being cold, I only had about three bites of potatoes on my plate. The salmon, meant to come with a spicy mango sauce, was not only cold but also lacked flavor; it ended up being a bland, unappetizing dish. The creamed spinach was overly salty and also cold. The asparagus that was supposed to accompany my meal arrived about 10 minutes after my plate was served. Additionally, one person in our group received their meal a full 20 minutes later than the rest of us, and another person never received their food at all. It’s possible this was just an off night in the kitchen, but I’ll never know for sure because I won’t be returning. I do appreciate the manager adjusting our bill after I spoke to him. Overall, if you’re not concerned about the quality, temperature, or even the arrival of your meal, then this might be the place for you.

Fantastic club! The drinks can be a bit expensive, but it's always a great time. It really offers an authentic New York club and dining experience.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My friend and I had tickets that indicated we were free until 1 AM, yet despite arriving before that time, they still attempted to charge us general admission. The staff member we interacted with had a really bad attitude, and the other employees completely ignored our concerns. I don’t know if it was due to our being queer, but we felt disrespected. I understand that not everyone enjoys their job, but they should channel that negativity elsewhere instead of taking it out on customers. I genuinely wish the worst for the staff who treated us this way. If I could, I would give this place -10 stars. Save your time and money—avoid this place!

I visited the restaurant for Love Saturdays, and the tickets advertised free entry for everyone until 1 AM. We arrived before that time, but were told that only ladies could enter for free and that men had to pay $40 in cash after midnight. When we asked the ticket scanner why the tickets stated everyone was free until 1 AM, he rudely interrupted us, saying, "That's how it is," without providing any explanation for the unexpected change in policy. To see if this was unfair, we observed that every man who followed us was also charged $40. Frustrated, we decided to leave without entering. Even a bottle girl approached us to ask about the situation, but instead of offering assistance, she simply said "oh, okay" and walked away when we explained the ticket issue. If the venue can’t uphold their promise of free entry until 1 AM, they shouldn’t advertise it every weekend.
