Suzuki Shokudo - Long Island City

Food was not fresh, restaurant was not clean. Would not order from here again.

I was Brought here by my Japanese good friends. I always trust them for the best food locations. And never the less Suzuki Shokudo is 5/5 stars. Very fresh and authentic sushi. Melts in your mouth.And very nice location. Feels very welcoming and home like feel.Sitting at the counter bar is always my favorite and feels more authentic. Love this place. Will be back soon. Thank you!

If I could give this place 10 stars I honestly would. I have lived in the area for 2 years and never came across this place. But I am happy that my husband showed it to me! It looks like such an unassuming place but once you walk in you’re greeted by the servers and it gives off such a warm welcoming vibe, like home. I ordered a few appetizers, ramen, sushi and chicken teriyaki. When I tell you the food was insanely GOOD! The chef is also out cutting and preparing the sushi right in front of you. You can tell that the fish is of the highest quality and fresh. I’ve had Japanese cuisine but nothing like this. The flavors of everything combined so well. The food came out promptly, and the smell was amazing. Not to mention the pricing on the food was very affordable for what it is. Not even kidding when I tell you that this will probably be my weekly go to spot. I highly suggest you visit this place.

I've been visiting this restaurant since 2018 when I lived in LIC. The ingredients are always fresh and the food authentic. It's hard to get anything near this quality with the same price! Even after we've relocated to Long Island, we visit this little gem every time we're in the city. 10/10 my favorite Japanese restaurant.

We love this place so much. It’s right near us, owned and operated by a sweet family. The food is delicious and affordable, you see regulars and feel the vibe of a “neighborhood”. I love the dinner boxes (I usually get chicken teriyaki or cutlet, both awesome along with a glut of delicious and healthy food.There’s also the quirky drawings all over the restaurant (done by the owners daughter in law! . I feel like I can’t come here enough.
