The Courtyard Cafe And Bakery

Had occasion to visit the Courtyard cafe just before Christmas whilst doing some last minute shopping with herself. Feet were walked off me and was grand to get in sitting down somewhere. There was a very nice specials menu on the board, unfourtnaly didn't have any of my first choice left but it was 4pm. After making a second choice we were both very happy with our meal. It wasn't my first time here, always found the place very welcoming and with a nice atmosphere and as a last note, but an important one..their toilets are always spotless and fresh like they've just been cleaned before you came in. It's always my coffee stop in Longford.

We decided to go here recently as we hadn't been in years. We were both going to have the lasagne but seeing the chef dish it out for another customer we decided against it. It looked totally dried out, no sauce at all in it. All the food looked like it had been cooked that morning and was left sitting under the heating lights for hours. We ordered the curry with chips and rice. The curry tasted good but the rice had loads of hard bits in it. It seemed like the rice was cooked that morning, left under the lights and when it ran low they cooked fresh rice and mixed it in with the older dried rice. The place is very clean, staff were very friendly and the place is decorated beautifully.

I recently visited with two children and found all the staff to be incredibely friendly. They had the most delicious home made jam. When I enquired as to where it came from, I was told the chef made it and was presented with a smsll container to bring home with me. The cafe is spacious and airy. It looks out onto the square. There is seating outside also. The toilets are clean. I only sampled the coffee and scones but was happy with what I recieved.

What a nice place to visit in the middle of a small shopping centre. While Ihad a homemade fresh roll my companion enjoyed a fresh Apple Pie and cream. The food was delicious and made to order. The staff were friendly. As my roll took a few minutes to make tne staff delivered it to my table.

Staff are nice to you when they never seen you before. When you return they are rude. The male chef is rude and the waiters can be rude and in professional. Will not return.
