Has been very good for years. I have seen a decline in the last year. Their servers a lacking. Food is till good but not what I ordered the last 2 times our family has been there. We are always a party of 6 to 8 people. Last 2 times orders did not come oume with what was ordered. The first time I agreeded to allow them to bring me what I ordered. It took so long before they corrected the order, everyone was finish and had to wait until ate. The second time we were a party of 8 the same thing happened. I ordered Salmon and they served me Sea Bass. All orders were very slow coming out. We kept waiting for our waitress to look our way but seldom saw her for more cocktail orders. We had waited so long for our orders I was not going chance waiting for them to correct my order. Both times they did not compensate for their mistakes. We are deciding if we will ever go back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
Fried Green Tomatoes were delish!! The crabcakes were good too- not too much filler. Service was perfect and the atmosphere was beautiful. The Koi pond was a very nice touch! Very unique American restaurant with a Texas/Southern touch. We’d passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and always wondered what it was like. Was looking for a special place to take my spouse for his Birthday and looked up Shenandoah and loved what I saw on the menu and the cool ambiance so booked a reservation. It did not disappoint. The fresh baked Apple Fritters that are being offered throughout your dinner are simple but amazing. There is a wide variety of dishes, many of which are Southern inspired. We had the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and they were some of the best I’ve ever had not JUST fried green tomatoes but the garnishes and sauces that came with them really took them to a higher class. We both chose the Tomatillo Chicken Soup with our dinner and it was practically a meal in itself. Super yummy! I got the country fried steak (half portion which was plenty for me) there are many ways to cook this dish and this was more of the Texas way than the Georgia way I grew up with but it was great. And the Mashed Potatoes were delicious too. Besides the Apple Fritters they also always have fresh baked homemade rolls available which were so soft and tasty. Besides the food, the service and the ambiance on the patio were as good as it gets. I’d recommend going in the evening just after sunset so you can experience the lights at night. And definitely sit on the patio! Overall, a 5 star restaurant that I’m sure we’ll be bringing all our friends too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was really disappointed. The BLT with fried green tomatoes was not at all good, and the flies were all over everything. The patio atmosphere was so so, not as charming as it might have been.
