Sushiko - Los Altos

Sushiko undoubtedly deserves a five-star review. The ambiance beautifully combines contemporary design with traditional Japanese elements, creating a comfortable and inviting setting. The menu features a variety of sushi and sashimi options. I started with the Ikura Nigiri, which was a delightful explosion of briny flavors that danced on my palate. The delicate pearls of salmon roe paired perfectly with the tender, slightly sweet rice. The Tuna and Salmon Sashimi were incredibly fresh, boasting a melt-in-your-mouth texture that exemplifies top-notch sashimi. The vibrant colors and pure, clean flavors of the sashimi left me in awe of the chef's commitment to quality and precision. Sushiko is truly the place to be. I can't wait to return for another outstanding meal and explore more of their delicious offerings. Plus, they have a kids' menu, making it family-friendly!

The restaurant has a nice decor and the food is excellent. However, the prices are a bit on the high side. I ordered takeout for dinner, and my meal cost around $20–30 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5. I recommend trying the California Roll. The only downside is that parking can be somewhat tricky to find, but there is a free parking lot available.

If you're in search of budget-friendly sushi that won't strain your wallet, this place delivers quite well. While I don't eat sushi frequently, when I do, I prefer upscale sushi restaurants for an omakase experience. However, there are times when a classic sushi roll or a nigiri dinner set is just what I'm in the mood for. Sushiko has become my regular choice for these occasions. My favorite rolls are the Mr. Sushiko and Orange Blossom. Additionally, I highly recommend trying their assorted tempura!
