Írjon visszajelzéstAs a Mexican I give this taquitos a delicious review! My point of view, visiting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, if there are fewer people, the line can be long weekends.
This Olvera Street staple has been churning out the best taquitos in LA since 1934. I got the combo #4 three taquitos with rice beans $10. It was ready in just a few minutes and they have a small dining area as well as benches outside. There was a small line but it moved quickly. Service is friendly and they have frozen taquitos to take home as well. Parking is limited but metro train access at Union Station is a short walk away.
I have never had taquito before so I don't really have a standard to compare against. The deep fried tortilla is only a little crunchy since it has soaked up the sauce. The sauce is pretty good; you can taste a hint of pepper but it is not spicy at all, and it is a little sour. This place is pretty popular and is located on the Olvera street with a lot of Mexican stalls.
I'm obsessed with getting taquitos and the definitely deserve a good review! The salsa is great because it's not spicy for a spice wimp like me. Lol This is the creme de la creme for taquitos and I have bought all my coworkers here and they all love it! Warning, if you come here for lunch the line is long but when I come here at 4 there is no line!
Cielito Lindo is the corner restaurant on Olvera Street and is the most famous among all Mexican restaurants on the block. This place is famous for its toquitos that do not disappoint. I have the #4 that is three toquitos plus beans and rice. I'd say that was the best we have. I'd come back for that. We also have the Colorado Burrito as well as a bean and cheese Burrito. Both were okay, but not as good as some others you could find on Olvera Street. Overall, I'd say go safe for the toquitos. If you want a big meal, I'll say this as an appetizer to keep you until you find something else.
