Civil Coffee - Los Angeles

I was in such a cranky mood when I got here, and this place legitimately turned my day around. Great atmosphere (TONS of seating, especially outside), the best ham and cheese croissant of my life, and an incredible coffee that was smooth and perfectly not-too-sweet (I got an iced Figueroa with whole milk). I will absolutely be coming here the next time I’m in LA.

Really great coffee, food and atmosphere BUT some of these employees are pretty awful with customer service. Every time I come in it’s like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed and it’s not me.

Patio vibe is great. This place is a great hang so come for that. Coffee is delicious. Food was nice but nothing stood out. If you want sauce, go get it, nobody will bring it for you.

No one does cinnamon infused coffee quite as well as Civil Coffee. Great coffee (try the Figueroa if you’re a latte fan and are feeling daring) Delicious food (the sourdough is amazing) Friendly service Pleasing ambience, between mid century, modern and preserved old city (brick) Solid napkins. Hear me out – normally, I have to go up for more napkins, but a single napkin here has everything you could want in a napkin— it’s durable, absorbent, and it unfolded twice more than I would’ve expected.Drawbacks: it’s pretty small, and as a result it can be… loud cramped few open tables at any given time no wifiI understand that some coffee shops, purposely don’t provide Wi Fi as a means to combat the former drawbacks, but it also works against them in cases like this, where, as much as I enjoyed my experience here, I likely won’t come back as I’m unable to work here.All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. ??
