I've been meaning to try this place out for a while now and I'm glad I finally got the chance to. My friend and I came by on a Friday night at around 8:30 and were glad to see that there was not much of a wait, but the restaurant was still relatively busy. Our server was very nice and the food came out extremely fast. The star of our meal was for sure the uni pasta. It had such a rich, creamy flavor and was very strong in uni taste. The portion is really large too so it's definitely worth the price! The salmon carpaccio was also very good. The sear added an extra smokey dimension to the fish and was nicely balanced out by the sauce. We also ordered the soft shell crab sliders and lobster roll which tasted really good, but there was nothing super remarkable about them. Their drinks are also really nice tasting! The strawberry lychee martini I ordered was very fruity and refreshing. Will definitely come by again to try some of their other dishes.
A perfect place for a girls night or even a date night! They have a wide range of stuff for their HH! Place was spacious and was not pack around 11 pm. It was nice to step away and enjoy an evening out. Food was phenomenal! We order a lot, but it was the right amount for 4 girls chit chatting and nibbling away. Hacks: I would recommend you twirling your garlic noodle and dipping it into the grilled oysters... BOMB!! Grilled oysters were HUGE, and quiet frankly , I stay away from big oysters because they are often really fishy, but these were not! Super garlicy, butter, and juicy! Yellowtail and Salmon Carpaccio is like any basic carpaccio you can get. Edamame and Shishitos are delicious. Brussels Sprouts were fried and probably a little too long, it retained a lot of the fryer oil and became sort of a mushy oil ball of cabbage. Grilled Sausage: pretty good! I normally by this type for recipes at home so I enjoyed it Oysters: really refreshing! Truffle Fries: not pictured but really bomb! Gyoza: basic gyoza that has been fried, not too much filling so ehh. But whatever brand of ponzu they use, or even if its their own recipe it is REALLY GOOD. You get a great balance between salty and citrus Karrage: mediocre, I would save room for another dish to try!
Never thought Uni could be served in pasta until I been here. This place is nestled within a Asian shopping center. Ambiance is nice and easy to eat here with large parties. Very good and fast service as well. Some of the dishes I was yearning a bit more. But the filet minon and the uni pasta blew me out of the park.
We had heard good things about the happy hour at EMC so decided to stop by. We ordered a dozen of their oysters (chefs choice), crispy pepper calamari and fries with truffle aioli, along with a few pints of local beer. I can't recall where the oysters were from but they were West Coast and sweet tasting. Not very briny and the meat pieces were quite plump. The calamari was very hot and fresh from the fryer, as were the fries. Happy hour was busy but our servers were attentive and friendly. It was a great start to kick off our night out in K-town.
