Zankou Chicken - Los Angeles

Half chicken tar, half bovine pigs w/ hummus, rice and salad 5?! Zankou is a great place nearby, serving large plates that are convenient and fast for lunch. If I'm not in a hurry, I'm going for the Kabob plate, but if I'm more pressed for time, the vertical meats are the way to go. The chicken tar goes super well with her house made garlic sauce. Sometimes they do not contain it so that you ask. The beef swarm is perfect with the hummus. I love getting the combo so I can go back and forth between hummus and garlic sauce. I love their rice and the Tarna/Schwarma plates usually do not contain rice, but Zankou is great to replace sides. This dish fills me so much that I just need a light dinner. I skip the Pita so I don't exaggerate what happens anyway with the amount of food they serve. Be careful with the little side pimps. They're pretty hot.

This location has been consistently good over the past few years. Clean bathrooms. Parking lot. Security guard (seemed nice). If you're new be sure to get a small white sauce (garlic). Skip the individual sizes. Extra pita. I want to eat it right now.

Zankou chicken is always Good food , the portions of each item was great , flavor very good , this location is clean and comfortable seating , can easily accommodate a big group . The people here gives an Excellent service. I would recommend the mix Tarna plate , Hummus ,Tabbouleh and garden salad .. Yummy ?

Good stop for a quick bite. Shawarma and kebabs are good. Place is very busy but very efficient service doesn?t make you stand long. Big spacious dining place and a clean restroom is available. Little pricey in my opinion

We love their chicken kabab! It tastes good with or without the garlic sauce, but definitely way better with the garlic. Their cucumber salad is prefect. It's not too tangy like other other places I've tried. Their hummus that comes with the dish is tasty as well. We like this location because there's more parking and it's not as busy as their other location in Pasadena. Their prices are very reasonable also $9.99 for the plate vs. 12.99 and higher at other places). I hope the chain plans on opening more locations in Orange/ Riverside County.
